Who we are

Cworld Rugs and Carpets, of Seeta, Kasangati, Wakiso District, Uganda, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website.
You can reach us about anything in this policy using the contact details at the end of this page.

When you place an order: your name, phone number, email address (optional), delivery address, preferred payment method, any order notes, and the rugs you ordered.
When you send a message, request a custom rug, ask for a quote or book training: your name, phone number and/or email, your message, the options you chose, and any design file you upload.
Your shopping cart is kept only in your own browser until you place an order.
We never ask for or store card or bank details on this website.

To confirm, make, deliver and support your order, to reply to your enquiry, to arrange cleaning, installation or training, and to keep the business records the law requires.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we never sell it.

Trusted service providers that run this website for us: Vercel (website hosting and file storage), Neon (database) and Resend (email alerts to our team). Their servers are located in the United States, and they may only use your information to provide their service to us.
WhatsApp, only when you choose to contact us there.
Our delivery and installation staff receive only the details they need to do their job.
Authorities, only when the law requires it.

We use only what is strictly necessary for the website to work: a sign-in cookie for our own staff, and your shopping cart saved in your browser.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to accept or decline.

We keep order and enquiry details for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your details sooner, unless the law requires us to keep them.

Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, and similar laws where you live, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it.
Contact us using the details below and we will respond as soon as we can. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Office of Uganda.

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only authorised staff can see your details, each with their own account, and passwords are stored in scrambled form that cannot be read back.
